Update On Our Little Brick Box
It has been a while since I provided an update on the construction progress of our house. We recently completed week 10 of construction and have about 4 more weeks to go. (at least I hope)
Things are really moving along. We are a little behind schedule, but with the bad weather it is to be expected.
I'm stressed out y'all!
I have to admit that the house construction has added a significant amount of stress to our lives. Living in a construction zone is always stressful, but when you are the architect of your own house it adds a whole new level of stress. There are so many decisions to be made and I feel like I am always working. Before I leave for work, I usually meet with the contractors to discuss the day ahead, and when I come home, I of course have to do a thorough inspection of the work. And my day job as a real architect has had its fair share of challenges of late.
So my architect mind never gets a rest. (cue the violins)
But...........I can't complain. We are very lucky for what we have.
We used to have a house that looked like this:
It now looks like this:
And it's going to look like this:
One of the casualties of the house construction is this blog. I have had trouble keeping up with my 2 blogs a week schedule. I've missed a couple thursday blogs. And the length of my blogs has been shortened quite a bit. Which is probably a good thing.
In an effort to give you a more thorough update on the house, and lessen my blog load, I created a few short videos on the current status of our house. I apologize in advance for my crappy cinematography.
That's all for now!
